the great roman farce and associates limited

Deceived innocents
kiss his robes
grovel about this king of conservative uncertainty
fools in believing something can be gained
by bowing to the Holy Doctrine of the oppressed
meekness, humility and servility
inventions praised by the powerful with a laugh
and the Chairman of the Vatican Bank
urges the masses backward
like trainers whipping animals in the circus ring
to run endlessly
rewarded by brief respites in drool
laughed at the owners who consider spectators profitable fools
with losers being roused by hits of temporal doctrine
soothing words
inspiring music
that promise shining hope
when earthly existence ends
where it is useless
